1. Michigan 2. Kansas 3. Indiana 4. Florida 5. Duke 6. Syracuse And I honestly haven't seen enough of the other teams past that to rank them accurately.

If im doing rankings considering teams with all their players healthy, and considering games that were lost due to temporary injuries, it looks like this: 1 Michigan 2 Duke 3 Kansas 4 Butler 5 Indiana 6 Syracuse 7 Florida 8 Oregon This is where it gets really hard for me. I really penalize teams for losing at home because it is so difficult for road teams to win on the road that if you want to be the best, you just cant lose at home. I know it would be a total homer pick to put NC State here, but I will anyway. But I think from a talent/potential standpoint, they are easily a top 10 team. But the depth is what kills them. You go on the road where you get fouls called on you more, in a difficult environment, and when you only play 6 guys, it really hurts. I feel that NC State is definitely more deserving than OSU, a team that has a home loss. I also feel that Michigan State is more deserving. Especially considering MSU beat Kansas and OSU lost at home. I use this more as a way to separate the two than MSU defeating OSU at home since it is so difficult to win on the road. 9 Michigan State 10 NC State Of course if I am doing the biased, media thing, where teams dont move as fluidly and you have to move down if you lose, I would probably have something like: 1 Michigan 2 Kansas 3 Indiana 4 Florida 5 Duke 6 Syracuse 7 Oregon 8 Gonzaga 9 Arizona 10 OSU

I had a bunch of teams that were in previous version of my top 10 like VCU and New Mexico but they had to go and lose this week and look like absolute shite (UNM). I think Florida is way too low. They are playing very well right now. Obviously Duke is hard to rank because of Kelly's situation and to a lesser extent, we don't know what is oging on with Southerland's academic situation at Cuse. As for NC State, I have them at 12 or 13. Agree about depth. Lewis is one of the worst McDonald's All Americans I have ever seen. Like Neil Fingleton-level bad. They really have only 6 guys and work best when playing a very exhausting style. Serious question, is TJ Warren just in really bad shape or what? Trying to figure out why he doesn't play more, and he does kind of have a body like Felton or Jordan Adams where I can easily see him gaining 20 pounds in the off-season.

But Louisville's lost three in a row, including two to unranked opponents (although the Hoyas are probably worthy of a top 25 ranking).

yeah if he actually thinks they are at 7, then that's just no good. butler is too high as well. florida is statistically like the best team ever right now. obviously, there are gonna be some disagreements with everyone's top 10 (i may have duke too low to some people for example) but florida that low is a glaring misjudgment.

yeah i just like them and how they play honestly. they dont deserve to be ranked there and they wont be. i dont really know how i did my rankings but if i picked an elite 8 right now, they would certainly be in it. ETA: and duke will jump straight back to top 5 in my mind if they show they can play like they did against maryland this upcoming week. i just dont like them without ryan kelly. and they looked ridiculous with him earlier this year.

I agree about an Elite 8 projection because I think the single-elimination version of the NCAAs helps out teams that are better at grinding out games (Butler, Michigan State, Louisville) rather than teams that are usually more skilled. But they have to figure out what the hell's wrong with their backcourt (Siva and Smith). I think that's part of the reason why Gonzaga hasn't had a huge run in a while

Dunno. I think it's a matchup issue with who do you take out. I wouldn't mind going small more often and taken out Howell when he gets in foul trouble for warren instead of putting in Vandentard for 3 minutes of stupidity. Tyler Lewis will be fine, he just hasnt gotten teh minutes or experience. He is a good ball handler but seems to be pure point guard due to lack of getting to the rim ability and a shot.

Oregon hasnt lost a home game and has some quality home wins. Ill easily forgive them a triple OT loss to Utep on the road

Could be due to the weak nature of teams out west but they are doing well and will ride a strong momentum in conference play. Also kind of a flukish team when you look at all the seniors, especially Kazemi, who somehow managed to avoid sitting out a year for his transfer. The RPI doesn't like them too much so I don't see them higher than a 3 seed out west though. Btw, Miami is number 3 in the country in RPI. Would have never guessed that.

They are 3-0 in ACC road games. Them and FSU (2-0) are the only ACC teams without a road loss. Makes sense since their fan support prob sucks. They arent used to having it easy at home so it isnt a big road contrast. Anyway, they play State next Saturday at 7 in pnc, and you can bet ill be there before the doors open. Im gonna go for courtside this time. Also, state has had a saturday or sunday home game each week this season with all midweek games being road games. Makes it really nice as a student.

That's a hell of a scheduling quirk. Kind of sucks for the players from a class perspective. Awesome for the student body.
