Can a few explain the difference between the Bats, also DD said they are using Wooden Bats today ! Please help me understand ! Thanks and GEAUX TIGERS !

So DD is wrong about using wood bats today ! BCOR is a Aluminum Bat with a composite smaller sweet spot ! Thanks !

NCAA wanted bats to perform more like wood
If you talk to LSU players, they would rather use wood than the BBCOR bats. Some of the summer collegiate leagues use wood.

I made a big detailed lengthy post about it this morning, but some a-hole got his own thread deleted, so I'm not about to post it again.

No, the current bats perform pretty much like wooden bats but they aren't made of wood. I don't mind them toning the bats down some but I think the last change they made went too far.

Doesn't it, though?

I'm not sure what's going on today, but they are not using wooden bats in any NCAA games, and except perhaps for your occasional turn-back-the-clock game, no NCAA games have had wooden bats since the 1970s.

I will just give the link to my LINK to my source from last time, along with the graph below. They detail all the changes going back to 1974.

In the last decade MLB has averaged about 1.07 homeruns per game.
For some reason the NCAA does not want college baseball to be near these numbers.
The article about the ball a while back kind of surprised me.
I wouldn't have thought the pros used a livlier ball than college.
If they want the bats to be deader, then they should definately use the livlier ball IMHO.

What is so confusing? Instead of using aluminum they're using wood bats. Probably Marucci bats.

It is just a scrimmage today.
