Did AtM supplant LSU as the #2 program in the West in only 1 year?

Looking forward, the potential for AtM with Sumlin at the helm is staggering. With the recruiting base, the money, and the passionate fan base, all that place needed was the coach. Of course, they have to show that they can continue the momentum, but considering what they did in the toughest division in college football with a new staff and true frosh QB, I expect them to get better and better.

I think LSU will struggle to maintain its #2 status.

In short, no. It was ONE season, and we beat them at their place.

If only we would have won that head to head against them

A&M is just doing what Auburn did in 2010 except they get to keep their guy longer than Auburn, and this

Everyone has a year's worth of film on lil Johnny now. Let's see how the sophmore slump treats him as well.

Apparently, they beat bama, so they are the defacto #1 now. I guess that's how it works.

Manziel was not a true freshman. he's 20 years old and was an EE RS Freshman in 2011

LSU took the legs out from under Bama.

no way of knowing since we didn't play them at the end of the season. We beat them when it mattered, that's the only facts we have. That is reality. Stop living in a hypothetical fictitious CFB world.

I would say yes, but I can't, because they lost to us in their own stadium.

Derp derp

And I don't think of LSU as #2 anything...we play a tougher schedule, and we don't bitch and moan for rematches like a bunch of cowards when we lose.

Let's look at where things stand after 5 years. One year is not a large enough sample size.

How can you make this statement with only one year under their belts? Not to mention we beat them at their place. I feel like you're trolling, but if you're not, you're just plain stupid.

they were because we rolled over after losing a close game to alabama, while they won a close game with bama and carried that momentum through the rest of the season. both teams' goals were different to start the year. lsu's goals were destroyed after the bama game, no division title, sec title, or national title were possible anymore. a&m was 6-6 last year. they had a lot more to play for
