Will Matt Flynn still be with Seattle next season?

I still think he can start in the NFL--not sure if Wilson isn't more than a one year wonder.

But I've never liked Pete Carroll and I hope Matt is able to get away from there & finally get a decent chance that he deserves. There are some NFL teams looking for QB's and there have been a few stories about his future in the last few days. What do some of you think about this?

Just because he went to lsu doesn't mean he's as amazing as you think. He got beat out by a 3rd round rookie fair and square. He will be traded.

no, they will either trade him or cut him. He's not worth his salary as a backup.

He's gonna get traded for a bad draft pick or cut, most likely. No point in paying your backup QB almost $8 million when your 2nd year franchise QB will be making less $1 million.

It looks like the Russell Wilson fan club came out of the woodwork. Let's not nominate him for the NFL Hall of Fame just yet.

Why are you not sure if Wilson isn't more than a one year wonder?

If a team really wants Flynn, they may offer a late round pick, but most likely he will be cut and will sign w/ a team whose lacking good QB play.

Kansas City, Arizona, Eagles ETC

He did, but let's not act like he's your typical 3rd rounder.

Because everyone's best year is their rookie year.

Uh, not that I think this is the truth, but how do we know Flynn want anything more than a one game wonder? I would've like to see him start too, but obviously Wilson was better.

Teams look at how much is invested in one position, not whether the guy is the starter or backup. Plus, if Flynn is as good as you guys think he is, then he's good to have around as Wilson's backup until Wilson's rookie deal runs out.

I just can't see the cutting him. Cutting him throws away six million in cap space with a net savings of 1.25 million. The league minimum is 500k. There isn't much reason to cut him. Trading him however is only a two million cap hit
