Just curious on who some of the best big name athletes you guys have seen in person.. tv doesn't count. Random sporting events of all kind, not just football and football players. lets hear some names and events feel free to list multiple athletes according to their sport.

saw Hakiem Nicks yesterday from the Saints on a Man Vs food Superbowl special set i built.

Catching 20 passes from Drew Brees was the best moment. But working with Roy Jones Jr was kind of cool as well.

met steve mcnair and brooks robinson at a conference. Steve McNair was an enormous human being. I felt like a child shaking his hand it was so much bigger than mine. Saw Dikembe Mutumbo (sp?) at the Atlanta Airport, another freakishly huge human being. I've seen Mike Conley and Marc Gasol (among other grizzlies players) out and about in Memphis. Lionel Hollins, the Grizzlies coach, goes to my church. Had an opportunity to meet Stan Musial and Joe Montana in high school at a couple banquets my father went to but both times I couldn't go for whatever reason. I've met countless LSU baseball players through my grandfather who were MLB players. I'm sure there's more, but that's all I've got off the top of my head.

Most random celebrity I've met: Coolio

is this supposed to be LSU specific (on TigerRant)? if so, I only have seen very recent athletes.

I've seen Kobe Bryant, T Mac, and Allen Iverson play in their primes, that's about it as far as legends go. AI was by far the most entertaining to watch.

Went to school (LSU) with Shaq, when he was a svelte 290 pounds. He is exactly as you see him at events, commercials, etc., larger than life.

Sat in row 3 at the 2008 swimming Olympic trials. Saw Phelps qualify for all the events that he would go on to win and set the gold medal record for. Dude is lanky as anyone you will ever see.

Every LSU player for the last four years

Muhammed Ali.

Got his autograph while at a Student Government Convention in Galveston, TX. back in the 80's.

We didn't know he was gonna be there. Still not sure why he was there. Obviously, he was staying at the same hotel.

Word got out he was there. Everyone started trying to find him. The elevator door opened up and there he stood with all of his entourage.

He was already showing effects of the disease but still was a good sport and gave me his autograph.
