Business endorsements by the First Lady

So Jason Wu, who designed MO's inaugural ball gown designs for Target as does Thom Browne who designed her clothes for inauguration day. MO is also photographed at Target doing shopping this past September. I'm curious of the Obama's connection to Target and wondering of the legality of endorsements by the First Lady?

"The wives of first leaders. They're just like us."

Wait, this name is familiar.

Isn't this the same guy who designed a shirt that Anne Romney wore, and was promptly ripped by the MSM for not being "in touch" with Americans?

If I'm wrong, please correct me.

Yes, she should have all her clothes custom made from special cloth, by a staff of faceless tailors working in a sweatshop in the bowels of the White House, to avoid the perception of impropriety.

Why not, its faceless peasants in China, working in sweat shops, who are paying for them.

I'm just curious if there is a connection to Target outside of the usual political campaign funding.
The whole thing with ogling over what she was wearing yesterday is ridiculously superficial.. and her connection to Target is more than coincidental.

Sen Mark Dayton (D-MN) is related to the Target founders. No coincidence.

Judging from the clothing pictured, she is just a notch above bag lady standards.

No, but she could certainly display more humility (I wonder if she even knows what that is). Given that so many people in this country are struggling, it's a huge slap in the face to put on a revolting fashion show of gown after gown after gown, certainly not paid by her money but ours. At today's prayer service she wears yet another new outfit and I'm sure she imagines herself the queen. They are both disgusting and the way everyone is building an altar to them is frightening.

Wifeymom, You don't pay for her gown after gown. Have you ever had a problem with previous First Lady's fashion choices. I doubt it. Why don't people put the adjective "uppity" et. al. with the noun that is in most right wing heads on this board.

Specifically?!?! And who do YOU think pays for the gowns, trips, etc.?!?! When W was vacationing at HIS ranch, people/press were moaning and groaning that he was spending taxpayer money. But when He-whose-name-shall-not-be-mentioned vacations, year after year, in Hawaii and has to RENT sprawling estates for the purpose, there is no mention of the huge costs in the main stream media. So yes, I have a HUGE problem with the entitlement mentality of the current occupants of the WH and their lack of humility and understanding of how the average family copes on a daily basis.

Don't let your blood pressure rise over these Obama lovers. They hated Bush and Obama can do whatever he wants. I'll let you in on a grand secret. Liberals are literally lacking common sense. They are truly too ignorant to figure out that by Bush going to his ranch it is cheaper and not a luxury Hawaii beach house per night at cost.

This will make you laugh.

The nerve of her to shop at Target while us 99%'s are stuck at walmart.

Thanks much for the good laugh! Good for the bp! Oh yes, the demise of common sense among the left is not to be underestimated.

I'm guessing the impact Michelle Obama has had on the U.S. fashion industry has been huge which equals jobs! I bet hair dressers are slamed right now due to her new look. Good for the First Lady and good for America!

It really started with Jacqueline Kennedy who made little-know designer Oleg Cassini into a superstar by wearing his clothes.
