Buddy of mine who occasionally posts had one two days before dove season opened a couple years ago. Had the surgery. Sat on the front seat facing backwards on his knees for the 4 hour drive to the dove lease. Shot opening morning and stayed drunk / medicated the rest of the weekend. He was miserable on his knees facing backward the whole way home...

I had one. Had the surgery after it came back a second time. The second time I got it lanced I had to drive myself 40 miles to the doctor. Most painful shite ever.

worst pain afterwards was pulling packed gauze out of the hole left behind which h told me was the size of a golf ball

I had to do this every day, at least two times a day, for a month after my 4th (and hopefully final) surgery on one of these frickers.

I have all the sympathy in the world for people with pilonidal cysts. Worst sustained pain I've ever felt in my life before I got it drained.

i went to the student health center here at LSU and they popped that bitch open. hurt like a motherfricker and smelled horrible...but i got 20 LT's for my troubles

What. The. frick.

I went to the student health center when mine got real bad and all they did was schedule me an appointment with a general surgeon. AND the bitch didn't even give me any pain killers. She said to just go sit in a tub.

I had the surgery 2 weeks ago. I'm laying here typing this with 8 stitches in my ass. I had these things twice over the last couple years and had them drained both times. The 2nd one was so painful I said to hell with it I'm having the surgery. Hopefully it doesn't come back again.

I felt like I was about to puke after watching the cyst draining on YouTube called "kill george".

Much respect for the people that have gone through this

When I get any kind of bump, I lance it. My youngest kid sawed a couple of warty things off of my back with a serrated folding knife. They bled like shite but never came back. When in doubt slice or lance or both.

I had a buddy that got a staph infection on his taint. He refused to stay in the hospital for a week, so his wife had to play nurse. She had to poke it with a needle, squeeze it, and drain it every couple of hours, even at night when they were sleeping. This went on for 2 weeks. I was too horrified to frick with him about it until after it was over.
