It will corrode the casings. Maybe you could if you put them in a closed plastic ammo box, or even a plastic tote with some silica gel packs.

Thinking of doing this in case my house gets broken in to. It's a place I don't think thieves would ever find.

Been doing this for years and no problems so far but they do stay inside.

If it use you are fine. If it's not, I'd put it in a dry box. Or if you just want to be safe you should put it in a dry box too. Those food vacuum sealers work pretty good.

This, get an ammo can or something that is sealable and put a couple of those packets in there and you'll be fine..
