| For those with a GoPro, how about an fully automated Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (Posted on 1/20/13 at 7:36 am)

La100 is targeted at users with no piloting background. It follows a pre-programmed flight path, so the only thing to do is literally to mount the GoPro Hero, Hero2, Hero 3 for oblique images or Hero3 for vertical images on the wing, switch the engine on and launch it. After 5 minutes of capturing footage from a height of 80 to 100 meters, the hand-launched aircraft comes back to the launch site with HD aerial photos or videos on the SD card.

So you don't actually fly it, can you at least program it's flight path?

Looks like it flies a grid pattern ~300 yards x 300 yards. The center point is the starting point. If this thing gets any type of following I would expect for a jail break. It floats but is not waterproof...

I've seen a helo rig like that used by NATO troops over here.

Imagine how awesome that would be for scouting deer camps. You could survey areas and stuff before the season. I want one!
