They've got to do,it. One pawn shop in town is cornering the market on ammo. Dude dropped over $4,000 grand in Academy he other day and bought every single box of ammo they got in that day. It never even made it off the pallet. He has been doing the same thing at Wal-Mart and pays the clerks kickbacks to let him know when it is in.

I'm not buying from him if he has the last ammo on earth.

Props to them. It's time to put a stop to this madness.

I was curious if people were doing this (kickbacks).

Guess I know the answer.

Local Academy in Georgia is limiting ammo sales also.

All they had today for purchase from the 'controlled stock' was .308 and some .45 ACP. The normal shelves were almost completely bare except for some steel 10ga, lead 20ga, and highly priced .45 Colt.

I wonder how much ammo is going directly from Academy to Gunbroker?

Won't lie, if I was an academy worker I'd probably be setting some aside each shipment to buy myself then turn around and sell it online ????? Profit

Yeah I mean it pisses me off that they do that but I would probably do the same if I were in their position. If I were in college and making minimum wage at a big box store, yeah Id do that for sure.

Double edge sword.

I do know that all of this will calm down, one day. Then when prices go back to premedia shite days, I will buy. Lots. I will stock up so much ammo that I can swim through it all just Uncle Scrooge. Ammo and mags for that matter.

I wont be caught unprepared again.
