We have a better chance than about 90% of all the other FBS schools.

I think the best we will do next year is 8-3. Mett will not be better next year; he just had one good game in the second half of the season and that has been translated into “second half improvement”. For three years we said that JJ would improve and it never happened. What we saw with Mett last year is what we’ll see this year. If Les had the guts to change QBs (and he doesn’t) and hire a good offensive to call plays (and he won’t) – the offence would improve and move away from the current “hit or miss” nightmare.

I think a major problem that people won’t admit is the 14 underclassmen leaving for the NFL. This will hurt us bad! The other question is: Why? If the players saw a possible NC next year why the flee to the NFL?

LSU will drop to a second tier SEC team for the next several years and we’ll dream for another 10 win season.

LSU should win another in the next 4-5 years. May not seem like it, but we have one of the most talented rosters that there are. The past couple years we have gotten tough times, but we are due for the chips to fall in our corner at some point in the near future.

The talent will still be there, and people forget how much luck plays a big part. Look at this year- ND should not have beat Pitt, & Bama should not have beat LSU, it happened, but could just have easily been two diff. teams playing for the championship...

Young, new players are eager to show what they can do and Chavis will coach em up

But sho will coach "up" the offense. We still have Stud and Miles running the offense.

I didn't say ANYTHING about 2011 as a whole. What I did say was Miles screwed the pooch in the NC and if THAT team didn't win a NC, what makes you think this upcoming one will in 2013? I actually was paying 2011 a compliment.

Bolded two parts are contradictory. If you are paying 2011 a compliment then you must be talking about the year as a whole - not the NC game.

The LSU squad in 2010 and 2012 were elite teams and didn't win either.

Disagree on that and I suspect you do as well - they never put it together and were therefore not elite. I suspect you mean that they had elite talent. In that respect I agree there were talented players but in 2010 the team was too young and in 2012 the team lost too many players (esp OL and weed loving small mammals) at the start of the season.

2013 is a tough schedule and if A&M, Bama, Florida, and UGA are great teams 10-2 will be a solid result. But if LSU puts things together (esp holds serve at home and beats Bama on the road) they could finish 11-1 or even 12-0 and should set their expectations at that level.

In the next 4-5 years yes. No doubt. 3013 and 2014 classes are nasty good.

I think next year could be rough but this program has great potential for the next half a decade

We're done as long as Les is here. We'll put talent on the field just as we have the last several years, but we'll get beat from the sidelines. I don't see us pulling out more than 8 games this year.

I am in this camp. Out of Bama, Florida, A&M, Arkansas, and Ole Miss, and Ms. St, I see at least 3 losses there next season.

EZE was calling you an idiot because Moffitt does that every year. It is not new.

Meh, same was said before the 2011 season. I dont think we get it done next year with a young defense, but i think we got a good shot in 14 and 15.

First time I'd ever seen it. I'm ignorant of his practice of calling out players but I'm no idiot.

Moffett posting that every year is irrelevant to the guys point that those players didn't show enough leadership.

Why was LSU "1 play" from winning? Who led them to be in a position to lose with 4 completely stupid and unnecessary trick plays?

That's one hot pic on your profile....but hard to think someone with that kind of eye could be such a tunnel-visioned douche.

WHO GOT US THE LEAD--DESPITE WHATEVER TRICK PLAYS--AFTER BEING DOWN 14-3? The fact remains, we had the lead w/ 1:30 left in the game.

The fact that you guys continue to defend Mile's incomptence is why this program will always be what it it is: A bigtime program with bigtime talent, but inept coaching that will always doom them no matter how great the talent!
