Just picked up a Mossberg Persuader. Leaving the butt stock on it, but I need to figure out how to add a sling.

Mine has a fixed stock. You definitely want a pistol grip rather than a regular.

This has nothing to do with the assault craze. Just a broad term. I just want a short barrel with the 8 shot. Saw some cool mod shotguns at the gunshow and had me thinking.
