My team, host nation South Africa, is tied scoreless at the half with Cape Verde.

Bafana Bafana!

Cape Verde holds off South Africa to preserve the scoreless draw.

First match in major international tournament history for Cape Verde.

Poor, poor finishing from Bafana Bafana.

Any of these matches gonna be televised?

Ivory Coast vs Cameroon/Nigeria, if they play, would be pretty exciting to watch.

I am assuming they are available for replay, and not just live?

Not the best of starts for AFCON. Angola and Morocco also finished scoreless.

That's how most tournaments start.

No, not really...two scoreless draws in the opening two matches?

There's normally a few scoreless draws to open major tournaments. Teams start off overly cautious and defensive to avoid starting in an early hole.

Euro 2012 opened with a 1-1 draw.

WC 2010 opened with 1-1 and 0-0.

You may see a few thrashings from horribly mismatched teams, but if the teams are close, then they'll play very close to the vest to get the draw.
