Gervinho, yes GERVINHO, sublimely finishes a Yaya Touré free kick to give Ivory Coast the 3 points over Togo.

Tunisia scores a golazo in the 90th minute to beat North Africa rivals Algeria. Taking a page out of Landon Donovan's book

A song for Tunisia

Give me a second I'm trying to get my defense straight
My friends from Algeria
are held hostage in a police state
My brothers from Libya passed out drunk across the bar
Gervinho scored a winner giving Gooners scars
Egypt's burning effigies
We don't want to take them back

So if by the time Gaddafi closes
And the rebels shoot him down
Tunisians will carry you home tonight.

Tonight we are young
So we set ourselves on fire
Arab Spring is burning brighter
In SyriaaAaaAaHHH

South Africa up 2-0 on Angola after a pretty dribbling show and finish from Majoro.

I'm playing my vuvuzela in celebration as we speak.

ETA: And Bafana Bafana are on top of their group. BLOWING THIS HORN LIKE CRAZY

Ah, I love African soccer. Zambia draws a cheap pk, who steps up to take it? Their keeper. What's he do? Puts it in the roof of the net. Now tied 1-1.

Yeah, the Zambian keeper Kennedy Mweene made both of his penalties in two different shootouts last year.

England needs a few keepers like the nations of Africa have.

Yeah, today's wasn't the best struck pk I've seen but it counts. They said on the telecast that he is the first keeper to score in regular time at ACoN.

More fuel for Wenger's "It's like a new signing" BS for not spending this transfer window.

So...awesome day at AFCON.

South Africa scored a dramatic equalizer in the 86th minute to preserve a spot in the final eight.

But Cape Verde one-upped us all, scoring a winner in injury time to advance...remember, this is their first-ever major international tournament. Great comeback, great story for CV.
