Do any of y'all turkey hunt?

I absolutely love to do it. It is my favorite hunting, and I have only been doing it seriously for 4 years. I used to always be fishing in bass tournaments that time of year.

March can't get here soon enough...

I know it's tough, I zeroed last year.

Spent most of the time I had to hunt after one certain bird that whipped my arse several times. Gobble hard on the roost, shut up on the dirt. Call shy. Almost had a sixth sense, when it came to knowing how close to get to me. I wanted to shoot that old bastard with a rifle

Its hard to give up on those enigma birds. Been there, done that. Last year was good to me, took 5 of my own and watched another 5 or so flop with friends. This year will be tough, I lost my primary hunting ground from last year to residential developers and will have to scramble.

March 15th can't get here soon enough. I want to deer hunt more and give duck hunting a try, but I've turkey hunted since I was about 7 years old and it has been all I've hunted for most of my life.

This is a pic from one of my favorite hunts. I killed him in all of that terrible weather in Missouri two years ago.

I love chasing the turkey birds ! There's nothing funner than running through the woods before daylight chasing after birds like a three year old after a new toy . I really believe it's addictive as any drug

I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve. I'll be turkey hunting this spring for the first time in 15 years.

I can't wait for that first gobble of the spring. I love turkey hunting like not much else. Last year I was able to hunt Merriams in NM, doubt I will be able to go anywhere this year, but I do have 2 private leases available to hunt. So freaking excited.

A gorgeous spring day spent turkey hunting in the morning, then kayak fishing in the afternoon is about as perfect as it can be, IMO
