do you think they will make it clear to voters to only vote based on what happened on the field?
the heisman vote has become a joke. and this fiasco isnt helping, if T'eo would have won it would have been a nightmare but do you think anything changes?

He got the votes and awards because of all his sob stories and not because of what he did on the field that is the joke.

It should, but it won't.
Next year we will be subject to some athlete overcoming his mom or dad being in jail or dying.

I honestly wish he would have won. I would love to have seen the spectacle of reporters who voted for him either A.) Throw him under the bus B.) Jump through hoops to try to justify his shitty performance in the NC game over him being distraught after finding out his internet GF wasn't real.

Me too. JFF deserved it, but the media meltdown would have been even more epic if he'd won based on nothing more than smoke and mirror puff pieces.

In my lifetime, the heisman has and will remain, a popularity contest. This year, and the year Tebow won, are the only two I can think of when the "best player" in college football won.

Because when you get down to it, there really isn't anything spectacular or out of the ordinary about a college aged student having their grandmother die.
I remember one time my grandmother died 4 times in one semester. It was terrible.

I hope so, but I doubt anything changes.
The worst part about all of that is that is was a terrible year for Heisman worthy players anyway. I wonder if any of this would have mattered last year with Luck, Griffin, Richardson, and TM7.

Te'o is the most trustworthy character person that the AD of Notre Dame ever met. He knows, he was great lawyer.

He's an above average MLB playing a lot of really shitty teams? He played one real SEC offense and got exposed, he probably wouldn't even start at the top 3-4 SEC schools
