Well, put it on your bucket list before your run out of time.

I bought a quart of the olive salad a few weeks ago. Damn fine stuff. You can call to order a muff "to travel" and they will pack up some things separately so you can put it together when you get home.

It's basically "to go" but if you tell them "to travel", they don't put the whole thing together. You do that yourself. I assume it's the same price, but I really didn't pay attention to that.

Hmmm ... I'll have to try this. I just haven't had one yet that beats Central Grocery's.

Neither have I, and I've had Anthony's.

what, in your opinion is the difference? what edges CG over Anthony's? I have to try a CG.

Maybe its just me but I judge toasted ones against toasted ones only. I just find that the toasted bread creates a different sandwich. I prefer it toasted but love the CG muff. (But wish they offered it toasted as an option) That would be a perfect world for me. Anthonys makes a great one but it feels completly different than a CG muff to me. Its pressed. There are just so many components to judge alone. Toasted and untoasted just remain sep categories for me.

I'm not a fan of a toasted, warm muffaletta. Different strokes is all.
