I think the Islanders could be a sleeper team. Maybe not get to the Stanley Cup, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got to the eastern conference finals.

maybe my memory is going on me, but if you were a Bruins fan..the Islanders sneaking in would have them playing the Bruins in the 1st or 2nd round, thus eliminating your team...

No I am a Caps fan and yes they could play the Caps in the 1st round. I also wouldn't be shocked if they beat the Caps. This all assuming the Caps make the playoffs, but I'm pretty nervous with the remaining schedule the Caps have.

John Tavares is a family friend and I say this having watched him play playoff hockey with a very talented Oshawa Generals team, he disappears in the playoffs (even when he got traded to the London Knights) for his last year in the OHL...I think the Islanders are a talented young team that would get steam rolled by a a team like Pitt, Boston, Montreal or even the Caps...any team that knows what it takes to win a 7 game series...just my 2 cents
