I always thought it was a good location.

Riverside needed it as a hideout spot.

The guy said he lost business after LSU put in that program to restrict cars on campus. Think all the stuff that was demolished around Gatti's also hurt him -- there was all that empty space which cut down on foot and vehicle traffic. I also have a feeling he was getting killed by college kids eating their weight in a $5.99 pizza buffet.
I'm surprised no one has come in and bought that property. It's a great location with plenty of parking.

I spent an obscene number of Monday nights there my freshman year.

I used to wear my big jacket to that place. I was poor.

I was walking by a month or two after they closed and asks a couple of guys working on the building who said they were reopen ing as another restaurant.

That obviously never happened.

That's the best, most obvious idea I have heard.

My freshmen year in Kirby Smith this was my study spot. I'd sit in there for 3-4 hours, studying and eating more and more pizza and Mr. Pibb Extra (or whatever it was). Screw a coffee shop. Somehow I managed not to gain any weight that year.

I'd imagine that property is fetching a pretty penny. It has too much parking to go for cheap.

When did Gattis shut down? I started LSU in 2008 and don't remember the place ever being opened.

Seems like prime real estate, location wise.
