don't tell that to the Rant. he was hired to be Crowton's successor, lol.
I read an article late in the yr where it was said that the HC had taken over playcalling duties late in the yr. I don't think Billy G was primary playcaller at the time, but still.

Cooper, Billy Gonzalez, Peveto, Gary Crowton...all had less than great results when leaving LSU...seems we have a pretty good number of bad coaches. There is no reason to think Ensminger or Stud would be upwardly mobile if they left here either.
Chavis and Haley are about the only hot coaching hires here.

Cooper was the real deal as a DBs coach on the college level, he's got the players at multiple schools to back that up.
not really sure what to make of Billy G, or really WR and RB coaches in general. so much of those positions seem to be about natural talent (catching/ running) and a player putting in time to learn his playbook.
