Ann Coulter on fox wow

She just said violent crime rates among the white population in the United States are comparable to all these "crime free" European countries we hear about, specifically saying the rate in Belgium was the same as in the US and then proceeded to say we don't have a violence problem, maybe we have a demographics problem. I couldn't believe she said it.

Instead of "whites", she could have said, "middle class"....
And been 100% right.

It's all about socio-economic status.

But, she is a hate-filled wench, so I expect nothing less.

Who would argue that violent crime is not more prevalent among African American and Latino communities? It's a fact.

The interesting issue is the conclusion(s) people draw from that fact.

Well, she's right.

Why isn't the news all over the HS shooting in California last week? Because it was a black high school and it doesn't fit "the agenda."

The DOJ doesn't compile statistics on perps based upon SES, they do based upon race, why don't you provide her and us with a link to your numbers.

Well, there's this, but I've grown weary arguing with some of the racist pricks on this board.

She didn't coin the term "black on black crime" either

Assuming you are believer in the SES load of crap do you think poor whites approach the levels of crime committed by poor blacks? <as we are often told there are more poor whites than poor blacks and Blacks still commit more or as much violent crime than all whites> The statistics provided by race don't support such a claim. Sure upper class Blacks are less violent than lower class blacks and middle class blacks fall inbetween, but the racial component of violence and crime in the US goes beyond just SES.

You really do have a relatively low opinion of black people as a group as far as their capabilities and worth are concerned. If you deny it, you are one hypocritical, dishonest motherfricker. I will fricking go back and pull a dozen of your posts.

It was an observation.

However, SES is certainly a component to the phenomenon. There is certainly a racial (cultural) component, as well, that derives from multiple causes.

I still find it interesting how adamant some posters are in making their point about the
"problems" with African Americans.

The FBI does in fact collect data on SES (socio economic status).

World Bank

In their work on U.S. cities, Fleisher (1966)
and Ehrlich (1973) examined the e!ect of unemployment rates, income levels,
and income disparities on the incidence of crime. Though their "ndings on the
e!ects of average income levels are contradictory, both authors "nd a signi"cant
crime-inducing impact of unemployment and income inequality. Using the
National Longitudinal Survey of Youth in the U.S., Freeman (1992) "nds that
1324 P. Fajnzylber et al. / European Economic Review 46 (2002) 1323}1357youth in poverty are more likely to be arrested and go to jail. Tauchen and Witte
(1994) "nd that in a sample of young men, going to work or school tends to
reduce the probability of being involved in criminal activities. On the other
hand, the e!ect of education on crime reduction is controversial in most studies.
For example, Ehrlich (1975b) "nds a positive relationship between the average
number of school years completed by the adult population and property crimes
committed across the U.S. in 1960
