I know it's an unpopular opinion if not seemingly crazy but his pocket awareness, footwork, speed and accuracy are insane.
There is a large leap from that to being better than
Aaron Rodgers
Drew Brees
Tom Brady
RGIII
even
Matt Ryan
Tiny Romo
Andy Dalton
Cam Newton
in three years. If Russell improves THAT much, wouldn't it make sense that some of these guys could get even better?

I would already take Wilson over everyone in your second list.

You do that.

Depends upon the health/availability of John Abraham imo. His absence in the second half vs. the Seahawks meant falcons had zero pass rush whatsoever. Our DBs did their job but RWilson could sit back, scramble, and let his receivers run zig-zags across the field to get open. If Kaep gets time and space, he'll do the same thing.
Prediction:
Falcons-27
49ers-17
no John Abraham Prediction:
Falcons-24
49ers-34

The Falcons didn't have much a pass rush in the first half either. Wilson had all day the entire game

Dude a 35 year old John Abraham is not worth 17 points against an extremely mobile qb.

You're assuming everyone is equal
Almost all of the QBs you listed have reached their ceiling. I think RW has a big 3 ceiling but will get there incredibly fast. Dan the man comes to mind.

After repeated maulings by the SF defensive backs, Roddy White hurts his elbow doing the throw the flag motion.

Your assuming Wilson HASN'T reached his. Predicting a ceiling is useless. Tom Brady was average for a few years, good the next few years, then exploded.
Likewise, some QBs explode on the scene and then fizzle out: Jeff Garcia, Michael Vick (has done this twice), Culpepper, Rodney Peete, Donovan McNabb, Elvis Grbac, Matt Cassell etc etc
Heck Phillip Rivers might even fall into the second category.

Ryan to white on the corner is a dangerous combination. Shut this down and ATL is fricked. It will e the matchup to watch (CR vs RW) Gonzalez wont get shite over the middle of the San Fran defense. That's not a knock on him, moreso an endorsement of Patrick willis

not much of a pass rush, but enough to make it look like a normal football game where one team has offensive linemen and the other has defensive linemen. enough to keep him from standing back there, counting to "ten mississippi" every time and choosing which receiver to go to.
Seahawks scored a TD every possession in the second half (i believe... to lazy to double check) and did so with ease every time. That wasn't the case in the first half because I believe they only scored zero in that half. Say whatever bullshite you want about how they were dominating us all game but for some odd reason i feel like we must have been doing something right in the first half to keep the goose egg on the scoreboard.

Russell Wilson as a rookie:
3,118 yards 64% completion 26 tds 10 ints 100 passer rating
490 yards rushing 4 tds
His best receivers are Sidney Rice and Golden Tate
Give him Julio, Roddy, and Tony Gonzalez and give Matt Ryan Doug Baldwin, Sidney Rice, Golden Tate, and Zach Miller - what do you think happens?
You can't compare Dalton to Wilson. Dalton is an above avg qb who makes a living off of AJ Green.
Tony Romo is a good qb and I think underrated here but Wilson has already proved to be better in big games.
Cam Newton is a freak of nature but Wilson is the better leader and makes way less mistakes.
If I'm building a team and I need a qb and you give me the option of
Russell Wilson
Matt Ryan
Andy Dalton
Tony Romo
Cam Newton
I'm taking Wilson, easily.

agreed. they will punish him. Atlanta will have to throw to the side of the field to jones and white(fades, gos, curls, outs).
if SF shuts down turner and rodgers run game and kills matty melts PA passing game it will not matter anyway. atlanta lives off the PA pass.

31-21 9ers.
Also I did predict a close Falcons win last week though I hate the cocksuckers.

I am, that's why it's an opinion.
Ryan
Rodgers
Brady
Brees
Manning
None of these QBs are going I get better and for the last 4, who cares? They're all HOF bound
Personally, I don't think newton will ever be elite. Good though
RG3 is an enigma To me. He has incredible passing ability
Luck I think will be elite

Both of those WRs are very good. He also has a great OLine and Marshawn Lynch.
My point is there isn't any basis to say he'll be the BEST quarterback in the NFL in three years. He could lose those guys and look like a different QB by then.
Posted on 1/14/13 at 12:42 pm to theunknownknight
I could buy that if he had a TO or moss type receiver.
FTR, I never thought culpepper was any good

Very good? I think you're being a bit hyperbolic here. I like Golden Tate and I think he's on his way to being a solid NFL receiver for a while but he's 5'10 and in 3 years barely has 100 catches.
Sidney Rice had one year where he exploded for 1,300 yards and 8 tds. Since then in 3 seasons, he has a combined 1,500 yards and 11 tds. A lot of that has to do with injury but he's played a full 16 games this year and had 50 catches for 750 yards.
Yeah Lynch is a weapon and he does benefit from that but Lynch also benefits from the zone read and the threat of Wilson running.
