Ohio State still has a lot of work to do.

quote:

"The biggest thing, I was fortunate enough to be at the championship game and I think probably the best fundamental team that I've seen, certainly this year, won that game. That's with leverage, that's with tackling, blocking, all the things that win football games ... For me to say we have to get [to the national championship] next year, that's like talking about we have to go fly to the moon. We're nowhere near even having that conversation."

Sorry if Germans.

No way. Big 10 is full of leaders and legends. The SEC is overrated. Northwestern beat Miss St.

Just kidding, appreciate you posting this. Especially after Urban talked up Notre Dame so highly before the game and even selected the Irish to win.

Alabama was very lucky, fortunate, escaped by the skin of their teeth, however you want to describe it, to win the SEC this year. They lost a conference game, they scored with 50 seconds left to come from behind in another, and came about 10 seconds away from losing the championship game. It sure is funny that they can smash the best of the rest of the nation, but are only slightly better than the other top teams in the SEC.

Which conference is better? I don't recall seeing a better bowl record that 6-3 for one conference. Unless 2-0 counts as a better conference.

I never said another conference was better. The SEC is the best conference, no question. But it's not even close to what you SEC tards play it out to be.

What do the 'tards play it out to be?
From results in bowls, results in BCS bowls, national championships, players on NFL rosters, coaches, facilities, recruiting..
The SEC is dominant in pretty much any category.

So what exactly do the "tards" play it out to be other than what it is?

Oh, I spot on offended SEC tard. I'll give you an example of the shite you idiots spew daily, "(insert any SEC team) would go through the (insert any conference) undefeated."

When in reality, two of the teams you morons claim would coast through and be undefeated champs In any other conference lose to an ACC and Big East team.

First of all, the conference as a whole had a down year this year. Auburn and Arkansas were awful.

Secondly, what does every gambling site talk about being the most important thing when picking bowl games? Motivation. LSU had zero motivation for that Chick Fil A bowl. Clemson was playing to prove that they belong with the big boys. They celebrated that win like they won a national title. Congrats, they were the better team that night. Good for them. Florida played poorly. So what? How did they look the game before when they played the ACC champ?

Not mad at all. In fact, you SEC tards are always good for a few chuckles when I'm having a subpar day, so I appreciate it.

I think the no motivation thing for lsu is a huge cop-out. If I were an lsu fan I would hope it is because that's about the worst indictment you can make about a team/coaching staff.

do you realize how much of a bunch of losers you make the LSU football team look like when you say this?

It was said well before the bowl game. All of the "experts" breaking down the game pointed to this as an advantage for Clemson. I didn't even mention the fact that 10 of LSU's underclassmen had one foot out of the door and their eyes on the NFL draft before the game as well. Not exactly 100% focused on this game.

Exactly. If the team doesn't care, why the frick should I care as a fan? And why should I get attacked for not cheering for a team that doesn't cheer for itself.

It's such a stupid cop out. Almost as stupid as the "muddy field" excuse.

I've learned from the last 10+ years of watching arkansas basketball that there is nothing worse than having a bunch of your guys on your team who aren't bothered by losing.

Who was more motivated, USC or Georgia Tech? Utah or Alabama in 2008? Appalachain St or Michigan in 2007?

If you don't think motivation plays a large part in game preparations then you don't know athletics.

I love it. Posi-tigers defense for the team is calling them a bunch of quitters?
