The dude is becoming more worthless when he is in the game because he is slow and out of shape. He can't run with our team and slows us down.
He played more minutes than anyone against Florida and all but one minute in the second half. And as a big man he has to run a greater distance than the guards.

He may not be the best player on the team, but he fills a key spot and the team really has no replacement for him. Without him, LSU is clearly not as good as they are with him.

I agree that we really don't have anyone to play the 5 which puts him there kinda by default. To say he is doing a good job at what he is asked to do is one thing, but to actually say he can play in the NBA and as good as shaq is absolutely the most stupid thing I have ever heard.

I think he has potential

I mean, he's sooo damn raw. I know for a fact that the only time he played was some pick-up games before he joined the team. I think an NBA might pick him up because who knows what can happen with him. Get him conditioned and coached up, a 7'+ guy that you can literally mold...

He's a 100% lock for the Euro league...anyone who isn't a dumb arse knows that. NBA is a huge stretch though. Like someone mentioned earlier...if you have good hands and you're 7'0 you will get picked up. He's REALLY starting to develop that hook shot and his hands are getting better and better.

I don't mean he is terrible and maybe he could make it in euro. But he really is not as good as some people are making him out to be, he plays on a very weak LSU team with no true center outside of him.

He's a good team mascot but let's not get carried away.

He can find a spot somewhere overseas but I still laugh when he looks like he's fresh out the shower 3 mins into the game.

Do you realize that saying he can play euro is not that big of an accomplishment?

He could have a better career playing tuba for some orchestra or some shite

I did. Right now it's more like an NBA pickup with a lot of D-League thrown in, but it is also a long time before the end of the season. And his ability to catch a pass and lay it in is something that a lot of big men don't have.

NBA scouts will look at the progress from last year to right now and imagine the progress he can make in one or two seasons (which sadly is the longest time they give a prospect nowadays). 20 years ago (when Shaq came out) he would have been a lock as a late first rounder.

For a dude who barely played in high school it is.

Probably not gonna make six figures there like he would in Europe.

As "bad" as everyone says he is....it wouldn't be hard at all for him to find somewhere that pays more than an orchestra. Orchestras have notoriously cut-throat competition for not that much pay.

He isn't HALF the player Hasheem Thabeet was when he was a freshman in college.

How is his NBA career working out?

I'm not saying he is bad all I am saying is don't go crowning him better than shaq and an NBA caliber player.

Nobody is "shitting" on our players I'm just not naive.

It's a lucky thing that he is the only true center, because this team seems to have a real problem understanding the value of using a big man. If he breaks out for one 20 point game they will have an extra foot of clearance on their 3-pointers.
