Looking into side x side for my new lease. Already have a little 4 wheeler to get into tight spaces, but want to use it mostly for joyriding with the wife, and getting around to camps and such. Was looking into the Yamaha Rhino, but my brother seems to think that one is junk. Don't want a rzr. Too expensive, and I don't do that kind of riding. I'll hang up and listen.

I had a Rhino and didn't care for it. Didn't have a whole lot of power.

I now have a Kawasaki Teryx and a Polaris Ranger Crew diesel. Love both of them. Both have different uses but, would recommend either.

That's what my brother said. They compare well in prices, so I guess it's just Polaris or Yamaha. What do you think the main difference is? Any different specs or comfortability aspects?

No problems with my Rhino. Everyone I know that has a Polaris has had issues. Would not get. A friend has a Kawasaki Teryx and likes it alot. It's pretty badass. He hasn't had it long enough to say how reliable it is.

How long have you had it? My brother has a friend had on and he said it "stayed broke" said he just used it for hunting. I can't imagine that if you ride like a normal person that any one of them is just going to break.

5 yrs. And i beat the f$%k outta mine. Not a single issues. We ride our's tough. Seems like every ride we go on the polaris' end up in the shop. Don't know what he's doing to his, but many of us have rhino's with no problems. Has he modified his with any lifts or anything?

The Polaris' and the teryxs are bigger and more comfortable. The Polaris is probably the most comfortable and for easy "normal" riding, would probably be my choice. If comfort is the main consideration.

I thought this thread was about shotguns.

ETA: The Club Car XRT isn't the fastest but is probably the best off road of any brand.

Don't get me wrong, they are fun as hell! My brother has one, and we do some fun riding, but I don't ride anything like he does. I'd also like a bed to be able to carry stands around.

My cousin got the Can Am for the lease this year, pretty legit ride, but not a ton of storage in the bed. Good ride though.

Well i'll tell ya that don't think a rzr won't pull a trailor or anything you can tie on it. I've pulled a 16' dual axle trailor loaded with a 12' 4x4 box stand on it through some bad arse mud.
I've pulled my 15' duck boat through some icy mud that you wouldn't believe.
I haven't had any trouble out of it & is a fine ride to just poke around on with the Mrs

Is your's stock, or do you have all the mods? My brother paid around 18K after everything, and I can't spend that much on a bike. Does the rzr have enough clearance stock to be able to mess around on? I'm not talking serious riding, but I do get in the mud sometimes.

My brother said his was stock, but I've never seen it. My wife and I rode a Rhino in Gatlinburg up a mountin, and it was a pretty smooth ride. Granted it was a trail that is rode on everyday, and there is nothing very serious on it.

Kymco makes a rhino knockoff thats better than I would have thought, if you need to save some coin. The big double cab Mule I used to ride around on has been my favorite sxs to ride on.

Personally I'm going with a stealth electric. To each his own. All have good features. Wife can drive stealth with ease.

I have a Kubota RTV 500.We bought it in 2009 and it has been flawless so far.We use around the house almost every day.I also use it for working in the woods, pulling the trailer when gathering limbs, hauling stands and food plot supplies. It is not fast but plenty fast enough for the woods. Its also fuel injected and cranks quickly in cold weather.I think the Mules have carbs.
We are buying another one this year since our famil is growing.Likely getting the 1140.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but just wanted to let y'all know I'm going with the RZR 800 LE. Looked at all of them, and test drove the ranger, rhino, and RZR. RZR was the best drive, and fun as hell.
