Don't know if this is posted elsewhere or not? These PETA idiots really tick me off. They are so concerned with the "inhumane" method of killing the Burmese pythons, yet they say NOTHING about the native wildlife being decimated by these invasive intruders. I suppose, to PETA, that it's more humane to the native wildlife to be slowly constricted to death and eaten by the pythons than it is for the pythons to be immediately beheaded by the python hunters. Idiots and hypocrites, each and every one of these PETA scum.

all this is obvious, this is the same group that supports euthanasia as opposed to any type of no-kill shelter

yeah, there was a similar story regarding some islands off the cost of california. man introduced invasive species, like hogs, to the island that then became feral and began destroying the native inhabitants. efforts were made to eradicate these invasive species to protect native animals like the island fox. PETA threw a fit that the invasive animals were being trapped and killed, despite the fact that their presence was destroying other animals.

idiotic.

I'm surprised no one sent some guys out there and picked her up to throw her on the grill.

yeah remember the time they threatened to protest the GI Tarpon Rodeo? Then they heard about the insane traffic and really ugly hookers and changed their minds.

I've sat here and rethought this situation and I believe this is what I'd do if I was down there taking part in the python eradication: I'd volunteer to have a PETA member/activist go with me and when we located a Burmese python, I'd tell him, "Go ahead, boy. Jump in there. Kill that thing with your bare hands. Choke him to death. Do whatever you need to do EXCEPT cut off his head." It's a win/win situation. Either way, the Everglades is gonna have one less troublemaker to worry about.

I would love to see a PETA protest of the Tarpon Rodeo!
It would be fun to see how the crowd handles that.

If you start drinking in Raceland, the hookers on GI aren't nearly as ugly.
