Hoppy beers are best enjoyed fresh! Also, how many calories can your body really absorb in one sitting? Go for it all tomorrow night

I really enjoyed those 2. I know Coater would like a steady supply of the grapefruit IPA.

So true although I think I drank at least half of his black ipa keg at jacktoberfest. Definitely think that should be an FBD road trip this year....along with a trip to the grand this summer

Jacktoberfest is a good time. Should only get better too.

Great beer. La Fin du Monde has been in my rotation as long as any beer--since the late 1990's.

Nice haul. I've had the Cigar City Cucumber Saison. You will like it if you like pickle juice.

When's the tasting?

FBD was a Canebrake with dinner.
SBD is a Mikkeller Spontankriek. Glad it was half price.

Not bad, per se. Just not worth $15. I haven't had too many krieks, but this one can't sniff Cantillon's jock.

Thanks to an earlier trip to specs:

FBD - Ballast Point Victory at Sea...Great Porter. Lives up to the hype

SBD - Ballast Point Sculpin...Rumor is the first shipment that came to Houston was bottled a week ago. I believe it, the citrusy hops are a thing of beauty. IPA's like this remind me why I've always been an IPA fan at heart.
