Are we going to complain about Davis' playing time again?

He should've gotten in for a majority of the 4th over Ryno, but I can't complain too much about subs when the lineup playing goes on a 29-10 run.

Monty did the right thing. You never figure Anderson is gonna miss every shot.

This. Law of averages. Didn't work out (for ryno) this time, but thankfully we didn't need it.

It worked out for the team, though.

Are you being sarcastic? I mean, he played well and probably should have been in. I don't know why you have an "eat crow" attitude.

Clearly

Yep

probably should have been in

Why? Is winning not the whole point?

Because it's fun to clown on negative ninnies.

Agreed 100 percent. But you have to remember the inverse of this. When Smoove hits a few shots in a row, that doesn't mean he should be in over Davis. Today I didn't mind it because we weren't getting abused in the paint.

Wait, you do understand its likely we would have still won with him in. We won that game because Mason Jr being on fire and Rockets missing open 3s en route to 10 points in the 4th quarter. Surely you understand there is no reason to think Davis being on the bench had anything to do with winning.

No, I don't understand that, because it is a false statement. Feel free to share your alternate universe outcome generator with the rest of us and we'll discuss.

I'm about to drop some profound logic on your arse:

1. Anthony Davis was on the bench
2. We won

Alright dude, if you are gonna give Monty's sitting of Davis on the bench the credit for Mason Jr going 6/6 from 3 pt or foot on the 3 pt line and Houston missing a ton of open 3s in the 4th, then I don't know what to tell you. You are just being obtuse.

Then what are you being if he's being obtuse?

You can't be sure that Anthony Davis won't come in and start turning the ball over or giving up easy points to Houston. I wanted AD to come in and I don't think that that would happen, but are you really mad at Monty for not messing around with a lineup that won the quarter 29-10?

1. Lebron James and Kevin Durant don't play for our team
2. We won

So its a good thing we don't have Kevin Durant and Lebron James, huh?

no, as i stated below I had no problem with Davis not playing in a game like today where we didn't need an inside presence. I had a problem with somebody gloating as if it was obvious that it was the glaringly correct decision to not play Davis more.

Sure, we could have lost if Davis came in. We could have also lost if we had Lebron and Durant. But that is irrelevant. Is there any reason to think that we would have had a higher chance of losing is the only question. I say its pretty indifferent today.

I'll give him a pass on it. He's not a perfect coach and he can make mistakes, but I won't argue about keeping Ryno in when he can go off at any time. Maybe he saw something in Davis's play tonight that made him decide that we'd be better with him sitting in that quarter.

Woah dude, why do you think we are in disagreement on any of this? I never complained about who Monty played this game. I would never ever advocate taking Ryno out in the 4th quarter regardless of what he was shooting for the game.
