LSU offense vs. Bama offense

So, I'm watching last night's game and focusing on what Bama is doing to shred ND's defense.

I'm no coach... But what they are running doesn't look a lot different to me than what LSU runs. They just seem to be a lot more successful with it. So, seems like execution to me.... And an OL with what Herbie and Musberger say are 3 or 4 NFL 1st round draft picks, a QB that will be a Heisman favorite next year, and TJ Yelton that Mark Ingram says is possibly the best running back ever at Alabama. Better than Ingeam and Richardson in his Opinion.... So that's all, I guess.

it starts with the OL. It is way better than ours. The run blocking is the formula. I agree that the offense is not much different.

It's not... We do the toss dive...they hand it off deep. We run a play action pass and roll out right...throw incomplete, they fake the hand off and this a 29 yard strike to a middle distance receiver that is wide open.

I mean really...look at the actual plays they are running vs. ours.....very little difference in the play design.

Big difference in results.

QB has time to set up and throw to open receivers, etc. So yes... That OL is the starting point of their success.

i do like the way they started the game by throwing down field. Pass to set up the run is the way to do it these days. But there is a hugh talent gap between the two offenses. Their O-line dwarfs ours in both size and talent. WR's and TE> than ours. Yeldon is a very great RB. McCarron much better than Mett. They just have a lot more to work with. But still Miles and co. could learn a lot about how to run a semi-conservative pro style offense from watching Bama last night.

Oh HELL ya they are ...taking notes and watching game film of Bama. Watch and see some of the same plays in 2013!

How many times did we run out of the shotgun this year?

Sorry I don't see the similarities. They run a lot from the spread while we run mostly out of the I with double te's

nobody is going to get the quality of recruits that Bama is pulling in these days. Nobody. Not even USC. They can pull in the top recruits from around the country. We can pull in the top recruits from Louisiana and occasionally pull in a big time recruit from somewhere else.

It is all about execution, but these Miles haters can't admit that. They have a good offense on NCAA 13 and they think an offense can be successful unless there is huge creativity in the offensive game plan. When in fact, CFB is about executing the plays you run well. Not about calling some bull shite play no one has ever seen.

Actually our starters at the beginning of the season had a higher avg weight than Bama's.

LSU's has two main plays. They are the toss dive for no gain and the naked screen to the WR, also for no gain. Didn't notice Bama running those plays.

Agree with that too. As D. Dooley said, "we recruit... They draft....and they have the first 25 picks".

It's not entirely false.... They have a major advantage in National recruiting right now and winning breeds winning.... It will change someday...but right now, they are on top of everyone...no doubt.

Run up the middle and PA pass. That's what they did all game. The difference is Bama's OL alone got 5yds every run play and McCarron had about 7-10 seconds to pass every pass play.

I don't give a crap about scheme. How about we finish in the top 40 or 50 of offensive statistics in college football? Lets start with a slightly above average offense and see what happens from there. LSU could be dangerous with even a decent offense.

We've all seen a run to the outside with Ford or Shep. Not one run to the outside was called against Clemson. Hill sat the bench in the 4th. Full retard, I tell ya.
