1) bama has an OL that can pass block
2) bama has a qb that can pass acurately
3) bama's opposition doesn't know if they are
going to run or pass before the snap is made

it just so happens that those are our three biggest weaknesses.

A light schedule every year doesn't hurt BAMA either.

All of your reasons fall right at the feet of LES MILES.

wow, what a revelation.

A little subset to your 3 points is that bama also has receivers who do know and run their routes, and also catch consistently. That too is coaching as much as anything.

Bama has easy schedule, they only beat us because players did not get up for that game

that was the best game we played all year, and we still lost.

First two reasons go hand in hand. Losing Faulk this year really hurt our line as the depth was very young and inexperienced. Better line gives better qb play. Another thing that hurt the offense is that our wr's are not good at getting off press coverage. When your line can't block for long and you have an immobile qb then the offense is going to struggle. I think next year we have a better o-line and thus and better offense.

nope. miles is not responsible for anything. especially not the terrible offensive ranking we have had since 2009 and pla ycalling since 2010.

Who is to blame for this?

MILES.

either:

A) He can;t recruit the right players

or

b) He can;t coach them properly

IT"S MILES.

let me revise your list

1) bama has an OUTSTANDING oline - any qb with that much time can look awesome
2) scheduling is set up for them by the friendly sec office. It's easy to get up for 2 regular season games per year instead of 4-5 tough ones like us
3) right now, their offensive coaching is better. plain and simple

I would say the three reasons are
Florida
Alabama
Clemson

Look on the bright side.... Miles is bringing back the 80s! It's retro. And we gave him a raise for his efforts!

sometimes. but mett misses far too many wide open receivers when time is not an issue. and many of his misses are not even close. he also struggles with "touch" on the short lob passes. the man is not an accurate passer. sure, all qb's make bad passes and all qb's have tough days, but with mett it's more like the inverse. his accurate throws are the exception. surely you have noticed the numbers of passes thrown behind the wr and the number of extreme overthrows (even on short routes).

Um Hallman was the 90s. Miles has us in the 80s. When #14 was good.

He won't take us to the 90s for at least a few more years. But rest assured we'll get there eventually.
