Miles also won a national title, despite being a horrible coach.
I feel like coaching truly comes into play when the talent level is equal.
like Bama v a team like Georgia, Florida, LSU, Oregon, etc.

First he is a great coach and recruiter obviously but, it's College Football...
Just think for a second,if just two plays in a football game of many plays go the other way it's either Georgia or LSU playing, and you are asking the same question? Is Riche or Miles better coach or recruiter.

He's a great coach. LSU and UGA have comparable athletes to Bama on a yearly basis but they just can't touch Bama when it comes to coaching.

It's a lot of revisionist history going on with Saban in the NFL. Saban was far from garbage in the NFL as a HC especially in light of the fact that the Dolphins were in a rebuilding stage when he was there. Saban didn't go to a franchise with talent on deck like the Harbaugh brothers.
Saban's situation in Miami is a lot like Pete Carroll's in Seattle. Seattle already had some pieces on defense, they've made some good draft picks, but the thing Seattle has done that Saban didn't get done in Miami is sign a franchise QB.

Ok but if i'm not mistaken Saban's first year at Bama when he didn't have any talent on deck he went 7-6. When he started doing what he does best....recruiting....he started winning. The great coaches of college football are the coaches who can do the most with the least talent. I can win 10 games with the talent Bama puts on the field.

Or his methods took hold, he had a year to coach his players to play his way, and, yes, he recruited players for his system.
Saban gets the best out of the best players. Not every coach can do that. He knows exactly what his team's strengths and weaknesses are. He puts his teams in a position where their weaknesses are shored up and their strengths are highlighted.

You actually managed to ask a dumber question than Ghazi did in the OP.

Did you just start watching sports? The NFL and CFB are completely different sports practically. Many coaches don't make the transition well. There's also an absolute shitload of successful college players that aren't successful at the pro level.

Now to answer your question, no one outclasses Saban in terms of the amount of work he puts in. He is a great recruiter, and a great in-game coach, but the thing he does the absolute best is hire a staff around him that develops players to their maximum potential on the college level, this includes himself.
His teams are so disciplined. He governs that team with an iron fist, but his players love him.

I was thinking the same thing last night. He's a better recruiter than coach (but a good coach too). I remember ULM beat Saban/Alabama before he amassed all the talent there. He was average at Michigan St and average in the NFL.

He's the best college coach I've ever seen personally.

Both but he's not a perfect coach by any means. He has his deficiencies.

No it just wasn't. ND was just outclassed at almost every position...hell at every position. You can look at that game and say that was the worst coaching performances. Its hard to have a good coaching performance or at least not a bad coaching performance when you team is just not that good.
