Thinking about making the switch.
Does AT&T come thru your cable line or your phone line?

mine plugs into the cable in the wall. The tech did mess with the phone jacks but I believe he was just prewiring for if we add phone service later

It is fiber connection to a neighborhood gateway, then copper (traditional cable) to your house and inside to the boxes.

For U-Verse internet, your existing phone lines (which most should support CAT5) will be the line in to the router and home gateway.

Made the switch to them about 3 months ago from Brighthouse. Love it so far. 2nd best cable service I've ever had, behind Verizon fios.

Uverse sucks. Wayyyyy to high for the shitty picture and equipment.

Go satellite. Dishs Hopper or DirecTVs genie blow anything Uverse has out of the water

frick satellite. Don't want to stick something outside. And I have yet see a single satellite setup yet that didn't have issues during shitty weather.

That said, I'm bummed about the bad experience with U-verse. I have it for internet service and have been waiting for the lines to make it into Uptown N.O.

I have UVerse and have no complaints. Works great for me and the picture is fine too.

The Satellite vs Cable argument is just like pS3 and Xbox. Everyone is a fan of what they have.

I like Uverse, but I cant watch the Rockets or the Astros here in Houston because they don't carry Comcast Sportsnet Houston. That really sucks...
