I do but it still a measuring stick of where US soccer is at right now ... Look at other countries squads similar to this one their overall talent is better

If four players on this roster make a meaningful contribution to the USMNT in the next two years, it's a success. Normally one or two players each January camp get minutes during qualification or Gold Cup (the one that matters) play.

These players don't suck (besides maybe Jeff Parke). Chris Wondolowski probably isn't international quality, but he's damn good enough for an occasional USMNT appearance, considering he tied the MLS single season goalscoring record.

The only other country who would have a squad similar to this one is Canada.

This friendly and camp is mostly for fringe and MLS players trying to make it to the Hex. No Dempsey, Altidore, Howard, Bradley, Jones, Boca, Dolo, etc.

What kind of measuring stick is one that doesn't have our best ten or so players?

This isn't the hex roster and definitely not the one going to Brazil in 2014. It doesn't make sense to compare this roster to any other country's because this is far from our best one.

Can't compare this to "other countries squads" and their "overall talent" because this isn't even our "overall talent".

Wait, so countries that have had a league for over one hundred years have more depth than a 20 year old league?

Gonzales, Zusi and hopefully GAM.

As for beyond this cycle, you have Bedoya, Agudelo, Gatt, Hamid, Johnson, Mix.

No I hear all of you I was just saying just like at any club in any sport you are only measured by the worst person on your team and when that person is too off the top guy you know you got a good team ... Thus we have progressed that was all I was getting at

Good to see Brad Evans get a shot, even if it's a meaningless friendly. He's constantly one of the most underrated midfielders in MLS.

He was bad enough in the '09 Gold Cup that I think this might be his first camp since.

He was the worst player on the team, save for Jay Heaps. And Luis Robles.

Stated above that he pulled himself out due to a groin injury, so Klinsy is trying to bring him in but he's not healthy. Do we really have to bring in Beckerdreads? He's probably better than a solid amount of this roster, I just don't like seeing him ever.
