Thanks. Is there any sites and beer that you would suggest?
Looking to get my buddy a sweet beer box for his birthday.

If you know what kinds of beer he likes or some brands he likes, Letspour.com will ship for free if you order 6 beers, and I haven't heard any bad reviews from folks about dealing with them

I'd wait until Westy is released in the US again.

If he likes Trappist/Belgian Ales get Trappiste Rochefort 10 or St. Bernardus Abt 12. Both are amazing and at a fraction of the cost.

The recent release was a one-time deal because the monks needed to renovate their monastery. They reluctantly decided to ship the beers here to raise money for the project.

If it gets shipped to the US again, it likely won't be anytime soon.

Unless the monks sell out and go commercial.

My local Total Wine and More store suggested that the success of the December release opened the eyes of the Monks and that another release is practically guaranteed. I missed out the first time, so I'm crossing my fingers...

This would not surprise me at all. As long as the Monks use the $ for good (the furtherance of their monkdom) and not evil, I endorse the idea.

Wonder if we have the same definition of nominal.

If I bought a 6 pack for the fee there is no doubt the stuff would be distributed full time next week.
