Alabama would whip Oregon. Every time Oregon plays a team with a great D line they lose.

Alabama doesn't have a great defensive line this year.

After watching KSU play with Oregon defensively for a half, Bama would be all over that arse.

Eh, Alabama definitely has a better defense than KSU's, no doubting that. It's not really close. However, the matchup is tougher for Alabama. KSU is an attacking, slanting defense that relies on penetration. They also get to see the zone read and option every single day in practice.

Alabama, on the otherhand, is primarily a 2-gap scheme from its 3-4 look. I'm not saying it's impossible (and they would run more 1-gap schemes as they do that probably 30% of the time in normal games), but 2-gapping a team like Oregon would be extremely tough.

I agree with all of that, but the one thing that Bama has that is not measured is much more speed in the secondary. I mean hell, there was a white kid playing Safety for KSU. I also believe that Bamas offense would be much better suited against Oregons D. That misdirection with a slow arse QB only gets so far.

I'll say this, the showing of Klein and that O last night should tell you something about the level of Defense in the Big 12.

Yea. I hated Kansas State's gameplan last night. They seemed to go away from what they typically do and went to the pass too much. Not saying it would have changed anythign, but I didn't like it.

No way Aluubama could beat this team. Saban is lucky he is facing a team that should have lost 4 games.

God you people who shoot a load every time Oregon scores at will need to STFU.

Maybe Stanford should be #1. The referees refused to let them beat Notre Dame.

"Why isn’t there more of an outcry that Oregon got passed over for the BCS National Championship? Oregon’s only loss was in OT versus the Pac-12 champion and Rose Bowl winner, while Alabama went down to a non-champion BCS A&M squad."

Truth. We've gone so far in boot licking, there wasn't even a debate...which is pathetic because every year is different...conferences and teams...you don't vote 2013-14 participants because of what happened last year would you?

Oregon can be beaten with depth and Bama has it.

Oregon can be beaten with a good defense and/or a team that plays physical, e.g., Auburn, LSU, Stanford, which Notre Dame and Alabama both have. It's been proven over and over. The definition of insanity is not doing the same thing and expecting different results, but that's exactly what would happen if Oregon played either team in the BCSNCG.

Well it's a good thing you don't have a vote.

Oregon is a great team and would have played a hell of a game against the Gumps, but you are putting to much stock in a Win over a team who was way over rated.

A one lose Oregon has no business being ranked ahead of an undefeated Notre Dame so it's a mute point anyway.
