In the losses to Bama and Clemson, if the Tigers would have converted on 3rd and shorts, they would have won. Since they didn't, they lost after both of them drove the length of the field on the last drives with very little time left on the clock!!!!

And you notice that the first time Les was grilled for running the ball and trying to pick up the first and this time he is grilled for passing it to try to win the game

So basically...small coaching decisions are holding us back from a NC.

New and original thread. Will read again.

You have to take what the defense is giving you.

Yes I noticed that. How about mix it up, three passes and three runs in those games. The first call to pass was great. But then. Two more to kill the clock? Mix it up that's how not to be predictable

Great observation. You may as well point out that we ran 3 straight times against one team and threw the ball 3 straight times against the other. Maybe next year when in this situation LSU will "mix it up" and win these close games. I look forward to an improved team on both sides of the football. Geaux Tigers!

Every game and situation has a certain feel, personality and attitude. Mett was on fire against bama. Should've went for the jugular and not the last missed FG. Miles' short decisions were stupid. Spencer Ware didn't even have momentum. Was never gonna have it, and everybody in the damned stadium knew he was gonna sneak it straight ahead. I mean, why run a 5* athlete and former HS QB to the edge, or let him option? The second down throw in the chicken bowl WAS a good call that could've iced it, however, mett was completely off his game. He didnt connect. Hill was on fire. You toss it to him or run it wide and let him use his athleticism and fresh legs. They had to be frsesh. He didnt touh the Fkin ball all qtr.

Exactly Cap he will never win over all the fans not sure many coaches do. To me the legitimate gripe people have is not using Hill in the 4th quarter other then that his players did not execute plain and simple. Which is on coaching too.

Everyone bitched about how predictable Miles was. I guarantee you, no one predicted LSU was going to throw it on 3 consecutive plays. Y'all got what you wanted, and LSU ended up losing. Miles should tell all of you to go F yourself. He's in a no win situation. If Mett could hit the open guy, the same ones who are bashing would be praising Miles for being unpredictable and winning.
