Alabama didn't even play Florida.
The Cotton Bowl on Friday could be a decent indicator. Both ND and Bama played an opponent (arguably the biggest for each) in that game. But even that has to be taken with a grain of salt, of course.

Don't know where you are getting this. Bama barely moved the ball on lsu and was down with less than 2 min. They played 3 games against tough teams and were outplayed in two and came down to the wire in all 3. NDs defense is capable of shutting bama down. Just not sure if they will have the offense to win it.

not at all frankly
but then again going into the bowl season I felt like the bottom half of the SEC was bad and the top half of the SEC teams were good but had flaws.
I think the Alabama team of this year is nowhere near as good or consistent as their 2009 or 2012 teams but depending on what kind of team shows up you could either see them do what they did in their bowl in 2008 (blowout loss to utah) or 2010 (blowout win over msu)
