LSU is still just as good a squad as ever and should be right in the thick of it next year. I mean seriously how much better off would this season have been with that bowl win? It was Clemson's Super Bowl to beat LSU and LSU's consolation game....much like Bama/Utah.

I'm onboard with you there. Had it been a better bowl, I think we would've shown up but unfortunately, our offense still sucks

This is what got to me the most. Well, that an irrational play calling at the most crucial time of the game.

People say shite like this, and it's stupid as frick. It's not like we went from playing in the national title game to the chick Fil a bowl. This was a great bowl match up, with 2 top 14 teams. That was a very good Clemson team on the other side of the ball. If the players cannot get excited about a top 14 match up, then we have more problems than just the offense.

1-3 in last four bowl games...It was only the National Championship and the Capital One bowl in the others though, so I guess that makes it okay.

because of this game, the only acceptable outcome would've been a 40 point win for fans.

the level of bitching had they missed that FG or LSU's offense ran out the clock would be relatively the same although not as bad.

Had it been a better bowl we'd have had our clocks cleaned, as in Cotton Bowl. The league office had it right steering us to that bowl, thinking we would probably be able to pull out an SEC win against Clemson.

It's not so much the fact that we lost. As we have said all season, it's the way we lost. Reiterating how putrid our Offense is and the terrible play calling is what's so hard to swallow. 5 straight years LSU hasn't had a top 50 offense. Inexcusable with our resources.

No its not the same. This game was the perfect example of everything wrong with LSU's program and it was a reminder to everybody who watched it. As far as being right in the thick next year. I am as hardcore as anyone and try to support Miles. But go take a look at our defensive roster and the player we will lose to the draft. The defense will suffer a set back and the offense won't be able to pick up the slack. I am calling it 7-5 maybe 8-4 if we are lucky.

I didn't say they're terrible. We got completely and utterly dominated again in front of the entire nation. Not good, regardless of how you spin it.

Agreed. Although it's more of the fans that can't. After last season, the ideological bar was raised to MNC game or bust, which a large majority of the fan base bought into.

i didn't really care about the game walking in the stadium, but it pisses me off that the players have to leave LSU with a loss due to that idiotic coaching BS

I'm still not convinced that the LSU Seniors and Jr's that are either graduating or going pro weren't excited and ready to play for their final college game. Sorry, but not buying it one bit.

Clemson was just better prepared and executed well on both sides of the ball.

Oh so since it was just the chicken bowl and coaches had a month to prepare and we looked like shite on offense again its all ok. Pretty much picked up right where left off in Arkansas, nothing changed. But Miles is the best bowl game coach ever. 9 first downs. Barely over 200 yards offense again. Buts its all ok just the chicken bowl.
