Throughout his career, I have been 100% behind Les even when his decisions don't work out. I have defended him on the rant numerous times. After watching the game last night, I can't defend him anymore. His stubbornness is his own worst enemy and the fact that he won't allow an OC to come in and run a real offense is beyond me. At this point, he's just being selfish and the program is suffering because of it. Something has to change because we are headed in the wrong direction and headed there fast.

Unfortunately, the school will have to start loosing quite a bit of money before anything is done. This has been going on for 4-5 years now. I just wish someone in the administration would explain this.

It's refreshing to see people come to this realization.

I share the same sentiments. He's an excellent recruiter, and that's about the extent of it. His offensive philosohophy reminds me way too much of Houston nutt, probably even worse though

so frustrating to go into every game knowing you can play on the highest level athletically, yet, you live with the constant fear knowing that you brought Skittles to a gunfight. Sports talk guys said it here in the Atl last wk-"I think LSU is the better team, but, they have Miles". Guys, this isn't a negatiger view. It's national perception. For some loyal/blind/rose colored/half full people, perception has finally become reality.

I am a 60+ year old Tiger fan . I've had this feeling before. It occured through out the Cholly
Mac era. The feeling is we have superior talent
and just can't get it done. We will challenge and maybe win occasionally but will never really be elite. Les will stay until the drum beat gets deafening and then he will retire. The program will
be depleted and the next coach will have to start over.

I think we will always be competitive with Miles, but we will rarely ever win the BCS Championship. Miles will always struggle to win the big games, he just does not make imaginative in-game offensive adjustments. Don't get me wrong, he will certainly gamble with a trick play occasionally, but he will never make the type of in-game adjustments Chavis does, like in the A&M game this year.

I think this reputation he is cultivating with these embarrassing losses on national TV, has caused us to lose our absolute best recruits to Saban. Recruits who believe they can start on the Alabama team will always pick him over Miles. We will see Beckwith make this decision shortly...that is why he is lauding LSU's effort to recruit him to try and mitigate the coming hate from Tiger fans.

Agree wholeheartedly an d like one of the posters above me Im from the Cholly Mac era so no one needs to preach to me about going back to the Stovall, Archer, Hallman and last 2 years of Dinardo. Been through them all and I believe that we will always be competitive and have winning seasons but being an elite program I dont think so. Hope Im wrong but I believe the ole snoball has headed down hill and is headed straight for mediocrity as long as Les is here or Les gets off his high horse and hires a true OC and keeps his hands off.

So what are the specific criticisms of Les this game?

What should have done or not done?

I stopped last night. I still support him provided he shows the right intent. But I won't defend his stubbornness.

Anyone will tell you that I am probably the biggest Sunshine Pumper on this board, but I think it's time for me to come to the Dark Side. I can't defend him anymore.

Most teams "rarely win the national championship." Or do you think what Bama is doing now is the only acceptable standard?

This is a great point. Les is frustrating but tend to do what's necessary to make the team better. It's painfully obvious lsu needs another OC and for Les to GTFO the way. If he does this then I will reconsider calling him an idiot.

He just doesn't do anything. The term "adjustment" doesn't register with him.

I am sure glad Les doesn't read this crap.

Just last year most people here were yelling pass pass pass. Now that happens we yell run run run.

Les is confused. He is just trying to do what the rant has been asking.

I wish you idiots would see that when he tries to get creative, it's at the wrong time. It's like this alarm goes off and he's like "time to mix it up". No game awareness.
