| inheritance ripoff or what (Posted on 12/28/12 at 8:28 pm)
I know someone who is paying his siblings their inheritance $300 a year. He made a deal with his father to buy everything for $80,000, $100 month. His dad passed away few years ago, and now he pays each of his siblings $300 year until pays them $20,000 each. How messed up is that? and no, I'm no part of either side. edited title

I'd tell him to shove that 300 up his ass. I could live with making arrangements but that's absurd

He had a pretty fricking stupid agreement. Paying $100 per month for $80,000 would take him 66 years to pay his dad. Did he really expect his dad to live for that long?

Easier to hide $300 a year than to pay the inheritance tax on 20k. It is just 20k so if you are banking your life on that amount then $300 a year should still look good. Figure that losing the dad is worse than starting an argument over what would amount to around 10k, plus make you look like a money whore over your parent's death.

like I said, retard, I'm not involved, but I do side with the siblings who are being shafted. quote:
who owns the property?
I'm not sure; it's control however an estate is done whenever someone dies. He sold the house to one of his sons, which makes situation even more screwed up. quote:
what do the sibling want?
They're mad as crap and want their money. quote:

I said same thing. Hard to believe law allows this kind of crap.
