bookmarked or something. I am having trouble finding it again and of course people are denying it exist now.

It hasn't been that bad in my memory. My memory only goes back into the 80's though.
1988 - LSU & Auburn tied for the SEC. LSU beat Auburn. Auburn goes to the Sugar Bowl. LSU goes to the Hall of Fame Bowl. Still, their only loss was 7-6 to LSU. We were 8-3 before bowls. They were 10-1.
2005 - 10-2 LSU goes to the Chicken Bowl
2012 - 10-2 LSU goes to the Chicken Bowl.
The SEC East bias in the Florida bowls has been a problem in recent times. Having Jerry World as the Cotton Bowl has made that a really nice non-BCS bowl possibility for us.

2010. While nothing was inherently wrong with what happened (10-2 Arkansas who beat LSU to Sugar Bowl and 10-2 LSU to Cotton), the rules got switched on us again.
Arkansas and LSU same record, Arkansas beat us so go to Sugar. Cool, right? Except not this year when two teams with the same record who we beat go to "better" bowls. Alabama had 3 losses, we beat them and they go to the premier bowl.

Only 5 times has an SEC team with 2 or less losses been relegated to the Chicken/Peach Bowl over the last 20 years or so: LSU 4x and Tennessee 1x.
No other SEC team, not named LSU, falls that far.

Alabama has NEVER played in the Chicken Bowl or its historical equivalent, just to be clear.

In the BCS era, Alabama has played in the Music City Bowl twice and the Independence Bowl three times. They also vacated a Cotton Bowl.

Who the f cares? Its either, MNC game, BCS bowl game, or interchangable bs bowl. If your not in a BCS bowl, bowl selection is more about what city might the fanbase want to travel to. Things like lsu plays in jerryworld next year come into play. We have an intetesting opponent, imo, playing at night, i will get to watch. What else is there?

still dont understand how we are gettin screwed...clemson is a good team, atlanta is a good venue, and ours is fourth best bowl. what a screwing???????? one or two bad plays against arkansas and we are in the toilet bowl.
