I got a soda stream for Christmas.
Just made my first bottle and I really like the results thus far.

I know we have some creative culinary minds here...anyone experiment with flavors or some out of the box ideas with this product?

Do a search for soda syrups.

I have had one for over 5 years and still use it frequently. However, after I went through the sample syrups that came with it I started using simple extracts, lemon, orange, strawberry. All natural and I don't add any sweeteners. I prefer a no calorie carbonated drink with a light flavor, very refreshing to my tastes.

You can buy the natural extracts at Red Stick Spice, WF, Fresh Market and a lot of regular grocery stores. To me all the flavoring syrups were just too heavy.

I used to order Roses lime juice and soda when I reached my limit at a bar. Tart and sweet with probably a very tiny amount of calories to it.
