In case anyone cares. You probably don't though and that's why it's closing.

We've been 3 or 4 times over the last 6-7 years. Maybe we should have gone more!

Meh. I was JUST saying the other day that I'm surprised Las Palmas restaurants are still around.

The one in Dutchtown does quite well. We are there about once a week, a lot of it has to do with lack of other options but it is pretty good most of the time. It is also much cheaper than Superior and just as good if not better IMO.

ETA: superior has them beat on Margaritas though

Superior >> Las Palmas and it's not even close IMO. Not that I eat at either often. Only had Las Palmas twice, the first time my meal wasn't very good. Decided to give them a second chance, second time the food was better but I got incredibly sick.

Damn, when I worked closer to that area we were there damn near 2x a week for lunch. I'm not sure they do much business during dinner. The one on O'Neal does ok for dinner crowd though.

I've always enjoyed the place when ordering tacos, taco salads and enchiladas.

The one on O'Neal is in front of the Rave. That helps. It's not bad food at all, but there are many Mexican restaurants in the BR/DS area that are much better!

Surprised any of them stayed open as long as they have. Among the quality Mexican chioces in the area they're way down the food chain.

Not my favorite, but it wasn't a completely terrible choice when we want mexican on a Friday evening and it is after 6:00. Too late to go to Superior!!! I'm looking forward to Velvet Cactus.

I agree. They are pretty damn average at best. About like 95% of the BS grease and cheese places in the state.

Terrible Mexican food. They do well in BR because people don't know any better.
