Chicken or the egg on that one. Is it his QB skills or the fact he has 2 LSU receivers to throw the ball? Either way, someone from Barbe deserved it.

Watched the kid in the dome and he deserved it. Sure, DeSean Smith and Trey Quinn are both outstanding receivers, but if not for Fontenot's innate ability to extend plays and escape from pressure, they don't put up half the numbers they do. Well deserved, IMO.

Damien Williams from Rummel was robbed. Numbers don't tell the entire story. The kid hobbled around at about 60% for a good part of the year.

First 5A title ever for the Catholic league. Yes Roth deserved Coach of the Year. Shows you that the writers thought Barbe was going to win. The votes happen the Friday of the Dome before any games are played.
