Back the crosshairs up about 2 inches behind that front shoulder and squeeze. It's not hard to do.

I let a doe and 2 yearlings walk early in the season but regretted not dropping her arse. Ever since then we have been dealing with loggers cutting on the back side of the property and they have been ruining any chances of seeing shite during daylight hours.

I spent the day in the woods Saturday and didn't see a thing. Sunday, after church, I went out in the pouring rain and got in a shooting house. The same 3 came out around 3pm and I laid in to momma. She ran a few feet and went down. One yearling ran, one didn't.

Do you have any idea how easy a yearling is to skin out? 15 minutes. Hung up, pulled the hide, cut the straps out, cut the hind quarters off, let the rest go.

Not at all. The shoulders were destroyed. 7mm at 125 yds. didn't leave much.

There was not enough tenderloin to even bother gutting the deer and the neck wasn't big at all. I am not one to waste meat but what I did certainly was not wasting meat.

So you destroyed both shoulders and the tenderloin?

With one shot?

bullshite. You never laid eyes on the tenderloins. They were fine if you actually destroyed the shoulders that bad. You just didnt want to have to gut it.

You're retarded if you think the tenderloins were not good. I didn't shoot it because I have 4 deer for the freezer and I'm not taking the chance of it being a button buck. Not a chance in hell I'm gonna shoot one on purpose.

No, I never said the tenderloin was destroyed. On a deer that small the tenderloin is so small its not worth messing with.

Also let me add that I was in a hurry to make it to a church program. I didn't see the benefit in going after a piece of meat that small over getting out of there.

ETA I don't mind gutting a deer at all. We have a nice enough set up that it isn't a bother to do.
