I haven't heard anything about a move like that, but if Chris Faulk returns from his injury next year as good as new it may be something the coaching staff will try.

Turner certainly seems to have the build for center, being the short and squatty type that seems to end up there alot, and we should have Williford returning next year and Fanika coming in so there is depth at guard. I'm betting the staff gives him a look there in the spring.

Turner will remain the starter at Guard. Porter will start at Center. Williford will back up both guard spots. Jerald Hawkins will back up the tackle spots. Turner may be cross-trained to back up the C spot, or one of the true frosh will draw that assignment.

Yes, We read in a postgame or practice of Miles in the Fall that they did plan to have Turner practice as center also. Plan for him to be a back-up center and play Tackle too, based on injuries the need is there. I think Porter is the starter. We need 2 deep at every position.

Porter is the center. He even came in at guard against UF when turner went out. Williford will be a swing player much like miller, hebert, dworaczyk were there sr years.

I don't see any reason the lineup wouldn't be as such:

Faulk. Collins. Porter. Turner. Alexander.

I hope not. Turner is a beast and putting him at Center would limit him.

Sorry, figured a sharp football expert like you could make the jump on your own.

Faulk returning leaves Collins at one guard instead of maybe having to slide him out to tackle. Having Collins AND Williford returning gives the staff the OPTION of trying Turner at C if that ends up giving us the best 5 on the field at once.

Faulk Collins turner williford Alexander

Get your best 5 out there. Turner will get a good look at center in off season.

Not sure if it would "limit" him...or just give us a "beast" at center!
