Congrats to John. Mr. Football could be next.

Diarse accounted for 3,012 yards and 39 touchdowns with his running and passing during a 13-1 season that nearly produced a second consecutive state championship for the Tigers from Monroe. The 6-foot, 200-pound senior and LSU commitment rushed for 1,327 yards and 20 touchdowns on 136 carries in addition to completing 93 of 150 passes (62.0 percent) for 1,689 yards and 18 touchdowns with just three interceptions.

in the championship game, Diarse accounted for 299 of Neville's 361 yards by rushing 25 times for 148 yards and one touchdown and completing 10 of 15 passes for 151 more yards and a second touchdown. Diarse was chosen as Neville's Most Outstanding Player in the title game.

He was really impressive during the state championship game. Not the biggest, fastest, or most athletic, but he appears to have major football smarts. He feels pressure infinitely better than Mett does

"Mr. Football" I doubt it. It will probably be Speedy Noil or Leanord Fournette or Gerald Willis III and throw Trey Quinn in there too

Man. I hope we figure out how to use this guy. He's clearly a dual threat at qb.

I see where you keep bringing up Speedy as Mr. Football or being a better player that Diarse. Didn't Diarse outgain the entire Karr team in the Championship game? Speedy and Diarse were on the same field and even though Karr won the game, Diarse was definitly the better of the two and his career has by all means topped Speedy.

You let that 504 blind you. Diarse is the best senior in the state.

Is Neville going to have a rebuilding year next season without Diarse at the helm? I know Hootie is a stud, but John Diarses don't grow on trees.

The guy that will end up playing QB will be Andre Fuller. He played WR this past year(#2) and he is a very good player. Not saying he's a Diarse but the drop off shouldn't be too bad.

Could he become a college qb, or, is he just another case of putting the ball in the best player's hands on every play? IE- Kevin Faulk, E Doucet, R Randle.

For some reason when I read about Diarse I think about Terrence Magee. I'd never seen either of them play in HS. Don't know why just the hype around both of them seems similar. I hope we are able to get Diarse on the field though.

You going down for the game? I'll be there that weekend. Look forward to all of the games. That FBU team my nephew is on made it to the semifinals. Should be a fun weekend.
