Diarse, I think, recently got the news he could enroll in Jan. I wonder if this was the reason, or numbers just became clearer...

My thought is that Diarse has earned an EE slot.

Not signing 29 in February makes a lot of sense, in my opinion. Some of the prized tall WR that LSU wants have academic troubles; moreover, a seasoned group of WR will return to LSU (Landry, Beckham, Boone, and Wright). Plus we have 2-3 TEs that will come in as freshmen and probably contribute on field right away; they will be critical in LSU scoring more TDs after getting within the red zone in 2013.

Maybe LSU will get a tall, fast WR in April or May. If not, save some scholarships for EE slots for the 2014 class.

Definitely a blow and will likely end the Gardner pursuit imo unless they get Leslie to sign on signing day and wait out Gardner as a late signee(similar to Fanaika last year). May have been the plan all along but this does change some plans.

Don't know of anyone on the board that would be an EE take. McNeil may not qualify at all much less by January and Massington isn't someone we're interested in. My thought is to let a current commit enter early if they want or just let the spot stay open. Doesn't change the numbers at all.

He took and passed all the classes he took this semester, the problem was the classes he took are not transferable to LSU. He was taking classes to go to OU, the school he committed to out of HS.

If nothing else, Desean Smith is capable of being that big target everybody covets, whether it be a flexed out TE or WR.

Leslie should be one of the biggest priorities to get on campus, IMO. He instantly upgrades the position.

Ehh... I think Dural makes a bigger impact next year than Leslie does honestly

MTT2893, do you care to rank the 2013 team's receivers? Just curious to see if you have Dural high, middle, or low on the productivity chart.

Jarvis
OBJ
Dural
Wright/Boone/Leslie

Think OBJ and Jarvis remain the top two. Hard to decide on the others. I think Dural has the talent to overtake Wright and Boone and be a premier outside receiver thus shifting either OBJ or Jarvis to a more natural slot position. It's just about his development and I haven't heard much on that front so we'll see. Wright and Boone remain in the rotation and Leslie depends on when he gets in and his ability to learn the playbook. He also has the ability to be a great target for Mett. We rotate through receivers pretty well so I'm pretty excited about our depth and the diverseness of the skillsets next year.

Disagree. Dural was extremely underrated coming out of high school and the coaches loved how he was progressing until the injury. I like Leslie but I think people are getting too caught up in height at this point (don't get me wrong I think Leslie has the ability to be a great receiver). Also, depends on how Dural recovers from his injury, if he put in work in the weight room, etc.
