I think that's the funniest thing in this thread, and God knows there are some jewels.

And incidentally, frick you. And frick auburn. Maybe there's a high school special teams coach that would be interested in that trailer fire in Opelika.

There was an offer but for a staff position. Not a coaching position. Bentley is a notorious lier and self promoter thus the public display. He will never coach in college again; he burned too many bridges and nearly ruined his career at Presbyterian.

There is zero chance a highschool coach is going to reject a chance at any SEC school. This is just silly. I could see him rejecting Troy or maybe UAB. But Auburn? not a chance. That's a "once in a lifetime" type oportunity. Even if the team around you sucks, getting your foot in the door will open up all kinds of college level options in the future.

Feel sorry for auburn. Getting turned down by a high school coach is pretty bad. I would think that would make recruits have second thoughts.
