Bentley confirmed he recently received the offer from newly named Tigers coach Gus Malzahn. But as he headed to the parking lot after taking in the Shrine Bowl at Gibbs Stadium Saturday, Bentley said he was staying put.
“I’m staying at Byrnes and I want to be here and that’s what I’m going to do,” Bentley said. “Gus and I are good friends. … I’m just going to leave it at that.”
